At Bupa, we believe that to give the best care and service to our customers in support of our purpose of people living longer, healthier, happier lives, we need great people who share our values
and will bring them to life in everything they do.
We want people to love working for Bupa. Therefore, we are committed to the fair and equitable treatment of candidates throughout the hiring process; making sure we consider suitability for a role based on skills, knowledge and experience.
We regularly review our recruitment and selection processes to make sure they are fair and robust and comply with any legal or regulatory requirements.
We are committed to recognising and nurturing talent in place to identify, develop and support our existing people and where possible, we will always look to fill vacancies internally.
You may be part of a recruitment process because you’re looking to join Bupa, or you may already work for us and feel ready for a new challenge.
Your journey may begin through a variety of ways. An external vacancy post, a recruitment fair, a coffee morning or a Bupa friend may recommend you as a great person to join us. No matter how your journey begins, you can expect a consistent level of service from our recruitment specialists, who will guide you along each step of the way.
Initially, it’s likely that you will be invited for a telephone interview. This is our opportunity to get to know you, and your opportunity to find out more about Bupa and the role you’re interested in. Our friendly and professional team will explore what draws you towards working for us, as well as identifying what skills and experience are relevant to the specific role.
If you are successful in this initial stage, you will then be invited to a formal face-to-face interview, during which you will be asked to provide examples of your relevant experience and achievements. You can find interview hints and tips here
Our interviewing manager may recommend that you attend a second interview, or they may be in a position to advise you of their decision without this being required. We will strive to keep you informed of any update or decision at the earliest opportunity following each stage of the process.
Should you be successful and offered a position, this will be subject to satisfactory references and pre-employment checks. Further details of these can be found here
Once we have completed our checks, your start date with us will be confirmed along with any training you need to undertake and successfully complete in the first initial weeks of joining. You should then look forward to your manager welcoming you to Bupa with all the information you’ll need before your first day.
