We want our customers and suppliers to trust us to do business fairly. So we make choices based on what is right for Bupa and our customers – not on what’s right for ourselves or our partners. We go out of our way to avoid the appearance of conflicts and if a conflict comes up, we declare it on the ‘Conflicts of Interest’ declaration form
We avoid situations where our personal interests, loyalties and relationships could affect – or be seen to affect – our choices for Bupa and our customers. Whilst we actively encourage our people to recommend Bupa as a great place to work sometimes this can result in a conflict of interest. So we declare any conflicts of interest straight away.
A conflict of interest is:
• a situation where your personal, family or financial interests conflict with those of Bupa or our customers
• where the interests of Bupa differ to those of one or more of our customers
• where the interests of two or more of our customers or stakeholders to whom we owe a duty vary
It’s important that you register any potential or actual conflicts of interest at the earliest opportunity. Should you observe anything you believe to be a conflict of interest then this should be reported. Our conflicts of interest policy
sets out your responsibilities in this regard and also outlines how Bupa will address situations when conflicts of interest incidents arise.
