There is currently a wealth of development opportunities for all  our leaders across Bupa UK.

Here is a list of current initiatives for all leadership levels across Bupa UK.


Edward Jenner online leadership programme will help you to develop essential leadership skills and better equip you to deal with the daily challenges of working in healthcare and to provide leadership to those around you. Highly practical and patient focused, this is a great way to understand the purpose, challenges and culture of working in healthcare. This course is aimed at all staff working in healthcare: clinical and non-clinical. To apply please register here.



Ignite aimed for all staff: The 1-day, face to face workshop (including online pre-work) aims to:


  • Empower individuals to take charge of their own career
  • Provide insights about their own professional strengths and value
  • Provide tools for planning and managing their career
  • Support them to reach their full potential

L@B aimed at our ambitious emerging talent: The L@B is a global 18 month leadership development experience, designed to prepare ambitious and highly commercial individuals aspiring to be a senior leader inBupa. We are looking for people who are early on their career journey and have 5 plus years in their field.


LEAD aimed for all our People Managers: 4 day leadership initiative for all our people managers focusing on Communication skills, Coaching skills, Leadership styles and team dynamics.

Global Nurse Leadership Forum aimed for our senior nurse leaders: The aim of the Global Nursing Forum is to bring together a core group of nurse talent from across Bupa to have a learning experience which allows them to connect, be inspired and develop skills which will enable them to make a step change in their leadership impact.

Florence Nightingale Foundation Leadership Scholarships
aimed for our senior nurse leaders: there are General Leadership Scholarships and Emerging Leaders Scholarships available to Bupa nurses. Scholars undertake a bespoke programme geared to their individual needs.

Leading Clinical Excellence aimed at our senior clinical leaders, those individuals who within 1 to 3 years will be ready with the right development for their first director role. The leadership programme will cover the following modules:
